I’ve for several years been traveling and researching in the Turkic world, from China to Istanbul, via Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran. I’m interested in economic, political and social reform processes in the former USSR, and the influence of its larger neighbours – particularly China – in this process.
